Ms.Ismail let the class read this!

So, today was a very, very exciting and eventful. Sort of.
I woke up EARLY (well, in MY opinion it was early) and me and my parents went to the immigration department to do stuff YOU (the reader) dont need to know about. After An hour of waiting in line ( fun, right) we escaped, er, walked out and headed towards my new school...
Im officially scared of school.
I walked in at rush hour (I blame my mom) kids were EVERYWHERE. the school is HUGE and cut into english only and french only streams. We were in the french section and totally un aware. We stumbled around looking for a Ms. Something. We asked multiple people that told us on the fifth floor. We waited and waited for the elevator as kids shoved past jabberring in french. We were tAken on a tour when we finally found Ms. Something and i mapped out my escape route.hee. I am im FORM ONE B. The irony. We toured all EIGHT floors and we saw the canteen. ( cafeteria for you americans) which, BTW is smaller than in A! lol. I met a nice classmate an i hope the rest are as nice! Miss my class and 6A!!

Setting foot in Hong Kong..

First of all im going to tell yall bout the airplane.

IT WAS AWESOME.
there were MORE buttons than the last one!!
Ah!!!! I just went up down up down for 7 hours. There was a big TV AND i had a mini bar!!!! Omg!! After 7 hours we landed in Hong Kong at 9:10 PM which was like, 3:00 in Amman. I WAS JETLAGGED. we drove to our new house (apartment, dont get excited) and we staggered inside.

It wuz nice.
Kind of big, not really. But, the view from ALL our windows is the mountains that surround our compound thingy. But the piece de resistance is that my school is down the road and of the 3,000 people in my compound thingy, ALL of their kids go to my school. Yay. So a special bus comes round at 8:05. Im messed up right know. I dunno wat time is it!!!!!! Ahhhhhhh!!!!
I got an iphone 4! Heeeee. My rooom is depressingly empty..:( so, comment and tell me wats happening in class without yours truly. COMMENT!

I miss you guys. I just said bye to my family and im totally depressed! its soo sad saying bye. I dont know why saying goodby to those you love is so hard and heart breaking. Crying

In these past two, three days, I-and my friends-have cried enough to drown a small bedouin village.
Just a random thought.

I-photo Booth Fun!

I LOVE I PHOTO BOOTH. Who does not?? I mean, you can add effects and warp your face even more!!

Me, Ziggy, and Zona just spent like, fifteen minutes on i-photo booth! FUN. I will post some of the FREAKY..uh, cool, pictures we took!

Saying goodbye- AGAIN

Today was parent teacher conferences, and I was saying bye to all my friends-AGAIN. We didn't say bye like normal people.
No.
We began to dance like Ziggy doing a weird two step thing. We yelled out(or, I, yelled out) group hug A LOT and we don't really know how to do a group hug, So we ended up doing a weird group huddle thingy. It didnt take a couple minutes to say bye.

WE TOOK AN HOUR.
As my mom got mad at us, i burst into tears and was led away by Ziggy and Zona.
i felt like an old widow, truthfully.
IT SUCKED. I WILL REALLY MISS YOU, MADDY AND YASMEEN AND NATALIE!

Poppy and Marshmallow

I'm guessing that you all read the post about my dog, Poppy? Well, along with Poppy, I have a cat. Marshmallow. Now, Marshmallow is a Turkish Angora, which usually means he is slender and just plain elegant. NOT marshmallow. he's fat, lazy and totally bum-like. Poppy and Marshmallow have a love-hate relationship. Marshmallow HATES poppy, but Poppy adores marshmallow. Watching them fight/cuddle is so incredibly FUNNY but most people find it sad. I find it HILARIOUS!! I love them both soo much, but Marshmallow is quite..unique, lets say. Sometimes he's laying on my bed, calm and happy, and the next second he finds a burst of energy in him and he sprints away. But the floor is marble, so he slides into walls and occasionally lands in his water bowl or litter... being the smart person that i am, i chase him thinking its the smartest thing to do.

NOT.
We run around in frantic circles, Marshmallow slipping and sliding into walls. This usually goes on and on and on....

What Im Gonna Miss About Jordan

I am reeeeaaally gonna miss the sheep and goats and camels all over Amman. They're soo cool! they come out and chill on empty lots that are spread out around Jordan.  Im gonna (surprisingly) miss the driving cuz in HK i wont be driving! I will miss my WACKY friends and Gerard the AWESOME ice cream place.  My lovely house and MY AMAZING SCHOOL! Im gonna miss ALL that bout Jordan..
mira dodokh

update: i will also miss my family! whoops i probably should not have forgotten them..

Houses

The thing about moving is that you get a new "home" every couple years. A home is where you feel safe and sound, where you can paint your walls and come home to until you graduate.

I've never had that.
I always move RIGHT after i finally feel at home in my house. Until I am an adult, i will never have a real home.
that's sad.
really sad soo sad. I would kill for a REAL home.

My day

Today i said goodbye to the best group of friends ive ever had.
We had lunch together, which (luckily) was filled with laughter and random picture taking(i will be posting some pictures after my laptop is unpacked) Class was great because i did whatever i wanted to do since it was my last day n all. But when the bell rang to go get our report cards, the day slowly went downhill. I got my report card and me, camille and maddy made our way to the locker area to say our final goodbyes. We were greeted by: Hannnah, Farzona, Yazzi, Natalie, Talia and Sara along with some other people. We attacked eachother and i burst into tears. We clung to each other and slowly my other classmates joined us for a spontaneous group hug in wich Omar, Rami and Bassam ( my brothers) joined us in. I cried and cried along with some other people. I dragged myself and some other friends to the bus area and wailed goodbye mournfully. Hannah came onto my bus and we hugged and cried like crazy. I will MISS ALL OF MY CLASSMATES SOOO MUCH. you guys were awesome, and being like me, i have to do this every two years and the sadness never becomes duller.

I realllly hate feet. i dont know WHY but they cause me to grimace a lot. RRRRRR my house is empty. it is SAD. cry.
mira dodokh

My Class

I seriously love my class. we're a family, and leaving them is tearing at my heart. Rami, O, and B are my brothers. I love to tease them and give them noogies. (they secretly like it) Farzona is my Z-dog, shes my rock. Hannah (millimania across the globe) is my BFFL who gives me awesome advice. Y, C,M,and N are the rest of the gang. The three Y's are as different as can be, except for their names. YB is girly and ADORES Justin Bieber (blech, seriously) YJ takes control and is like a sledgehammer and YBL is full of hate for me, except for a little sliver of looove. My teachers are FAB and mother us way to much. but i love them! in all, im gonna cry BUCKETS tomorrow!

my bro's Rami and B

My Dog

I have a dog.
Yup, you heard me. Im Jordanian and have a dog. AND SHE LIVES IN MY HOUSE.
yessir, i touch her. i kiss her even, and it doesnt bother me. But my neighbours barely make eye contact with me when i take her for a walk. Dogs are "nigis" to muslims, and whoever touches them has a..illness? i don't know EXACTLY. But it's REALLYYY annoying sometimes. Even though i don't LOOK jordanian, i speak arabic and the shocked look on peoples faces when they see that im with Poppy (my dog) they have a heart attack. Heres some pics of my darling girl!

What to Do: Friends on the first day

Making friends is hard. harder than everyone (adults) think. As a kid, many factors affect who you make friends with. What you say and look like affect your future friends. (good and bad) but it's better that way. Walk into class sulking no one will talk to you no matter how bubbly you are AFTER the first day of school. Walk in happy and everyone will love you no matter how depressed you are afterward. It's all about the look of you. First impressions MATTER to a depressing level. Walk in like this:
And you will not make ANY friends. Maybe Emo friends if youre into that.
walk in like THIS:

you will make MANY, MANY friends.
JUST SO YOU ALL KNOW.

Jordan

The Middle East.
When most people think Middle East, they picture bombs, terrorists, desert, basically, UGLY.
not very true.
sure, SOME countries ARE like that. But why all the blame on the middle east?
other countries are like that! jeez guys.
i have alot of american friends here.
i dont bomb them
i LIKE the states
im not planning a secret bombing mission.
PROMISE! some parts of the middle east are beautiful..
come and see for yourself!

What this Blog is REALLY about

Now, im not going to bore ya'll with how much it stinks to be abroad all the time, not having a REAL home. I'll write about it a BIT but im really blogging about how it is for ME by writing about what happens...ALRIGHT??
lolz.
love you all!
Mira Dodokh

This is what happens on your first day of school at your 4th school..

This is a typical first day of school for me.

1. walk into school, nervously twitching
2. offer a shaky smile
3. get stared at
4. sit down next to a "nice" person my teacher planted you next to
5. run to the bathroom and cry
6.cry.
7.cry some more
8. go outside and face the awkwardness of finding someone to sit next to
9. get stared at some more
10. talk
11.talk
12. sweat. ALOT.
13. walk into a door, trip, ETC. ( I think this only applies to me)
14. go home and offer my mom a 'Fine'
15. go to bed and cry
16. email friends
17. cry and shake with uncontrollable fear of tomorrow.

there! a couple might apply only to the klutz that is me, but its a generilization.

Honk for Japan

I just held a get together with 7 of my close friends at my depressingly empty house, and instead of hanging around and looking tortured in a cool emo way, we decided to make signs(arabic AND english) and stand on my street and yell " HONK FOR JAPAN" aka " ZAMER LAL YABAAN" at people.

it was interesting.
We all held cardboard with "honk for japan" on them for nearly FOUR HOURS. Hey, it was fun! whenever someone honked we would cheer like crazy people. Some people were MEAN and wouldnt honk, some smiled at us and shook their heads, and SOME CAME BACK AND HONKED TWICE! We cheered ourselves hoarse.

WHY we found it entertaining, i do not know. the curse of being young, i suppose... we got 85 HONKS OUT OF 185! impressive for jordan. Which means we have to donate 85 JD to the japanese embassy.

whoops. But it was WORTH IT! the feeling of accomplishment was WAAY better than any cocaine induced high. Instead of killing yourselves with cocaine, how bout being charitable? GOOD IDEA.
ill be posting some pics soon. oh, and my good pal Hannah on millimania across the globe has writting about this too, so be sure to check it out!
Love ya'll

Ok, im Back

How I Feel About Moving..

Hong Kong...TOTALLY DIFFERENT! Jordan is TINY. Hong Kong is HUGE. But theres ALOT of stuff... But i will miss my awesome BFFLS. H, F, S, M, C, are the BEST FRIENDS ever! I realllllly do not like making new friends. IT TERRIFIES me! lolz. LOL is my faveorite word. IT ROCKS. PEACE OUT! i gotta edit my blog some more!
Mira Dodokh

My First Blog!

you're probably wondering '"why in the heck would I read this!??!" well, if you're one of those kids who have to move because of your parents jobs, this is were you can relate. Seriously. I have lived in 5 places over my short, short 12 years of life. let me tell you, IT SUCKS. When I FINALLY make good friends my parents give me the "Honey, were moving speech" wow. helpful, mom. thanks. I leave my buds, my house, my school, EVERYTHING to go to some alien place. Not even cool places! I have lived in Hong Kong (ok, that IS cool) Maurtitius(island paradise) Kazakhstan (blech) and Jordan. Im moving (AGAIN) in a couple days, so im alternating between fuming and sobbing. Mep, Jordan ain't my fave place! Now you guys dont know who i am so ill start explaining. Its complicated so grab your hot coco. Alrighty, now my ancestors were forced to move to Jordan because the Soviet Union took over, all very historical, and we ( the Circassians) came over to fair Jordan. Years later, I, a mix of Circassian and Surbian, burst into Jordan. But at age 2, I moved to Hong Kong, then Mauritius at age 5, Kazakhstan at age 7, Jordan at age 9, and now back to Hong Kong at age 12! I speak English ( my preferred language) Arabic (my mothertounge even though I stink at it) And randomly, French. I am FREAKISHLY TALL, pretty skinny, and stuck with glasses. My hair is brownishy and ive got brown eyes. weirdly pale skin and NEWLY brace free teeth. In all, i don't look like a freak, but not exactly model looking or beautiful. But im totally ok with that cuz i can now rely on my brain to get what i want not my looks. AWESOME! Well, that's it for introductions!
see ya!
