I don't understand Easter. How did a bunny and an egg mix together? Don't bunnies give birth to live babies? I would understand a CHICKEN hiding eggs in my backyard.. No, I don't have a yard. I have a balcony with a plate of dirt.. But anyway, how did a BUNNY end up in Easter? Does it sound better? "Easter bunny" And "Easter chicken"
Bunny sounds better.
Even so, why confuse little children! I bet they're so messed UPI! They'll be like " mommy mommy why didn't my bunny have eggs like the Easter bunny? I thought bunnies had eggs!" or " mommy why doesn't my chicken make chocolate eggs? I tried to eat one but it was yellow!"
See?!?!
Easter here is different. In Jordan, no one really.. Cared. Here they get like FIVE days or something off school or work! It's pretty strange... Next year, I'm dressing up as a chicken and hiding eggs.
It's never too late to change legend!

My dog/cat
you all know Marshmallow and Poppy, right? My dog and cat? Well, I wasn't allowed a dog OR a cat until a few years ago...
Kazakhstan:
Me: Daaaaaaaad, Mooooooooom, can i pleeeeeeeeeeeaseee have a dog?
Mom: No.
Dad: Why should we let you get a dog?
Me: Because a dog would be a constant in my life! It's not fair that I have to leave my friends, and if we get a dog, we'll take it with us! (good argument because moving a lot is something my parents are uncomfortable with because it hurts us!)
Dad: I suppose, IF we find a SUITABLE dog!
Me: Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
Jordan 2009:
Dad: Let's go to that kennel we found and see Poppy!
Me: OK! Did you bring the collar?
Dad: OH, i forgot! Let's drop by the house..
Me: fine..
At Home:
Me: Dad? Is that a DOG?
Dad: Yes! It's Poppy!
Me: Yaaaaay!
Mom: I ACTUALLY LIKE HER!
That's how we got POPPY!
Now, we got Marshmallow in a whole 'nother way.
Uncle: Hey, i got you guys this little white cat! It's in my room, come see it!
Me: MOOOOOOOOOM can we have him??? (clutches tiny kitty to stomach)
Mom: No.
Me: WHY?
Mom: We have a dog.
Me: Ill find a way..
10 minutes later..
Me: Hohoho uncle! Im gonna tie this ribbon around his neck, and write a note saying: Please take me home! and mom is PUTTY IN MY HANDS! hohohohohohoho
DOES THE ABOVE
Me; Mom, look!
Mom: Awww.. fine, go grab his things..
Me: WHOOO!
thats how i got Marshmallow..
I don't know how i convinced them to bring Marshmallow, but I think it went along the lines of..
" I already need to leave my friends, now i need to leave my baby?? YOU MONSTERS!'
soo thats how i got them! They're both in quarantine right now. They'll get out in august. I know, it seems cruel but i see them a lot and its a nice place... id rather have them in quarantine than back in Jordan!

Rain
It rained today! But its not like rain in Jordan, light and cold. Here its like pebbles And the rain is hot! The clouds block the lights out so its nighttine at 4:00! The roads get flooded and everyone stands inside malls, waiting for the rain to stop GUSHING down! I felt like a rat squeaking in HMV..:)

Life in Hong Kong: A whole 'nother world
Jordan is as different to Hong Kong as peanut butter is to jelly, as winter is to summer...
Jordan=hot. Hong Kong=hot and HUMID. It's MUCH worse in Hong Kong! The humidity is killer and my hair frizzes up! :( its a TRAGEDY! is that how you spell it? Off topic. Ok, now in Jordan, weekends are spent dozing around at home, usually watching disney channel for some odd reason. Here, there are walking trails to go on, tennis to play, places to discover, clothes to buy and much more! The driving is as nuts as in Jordan, but here, its all somehow organized! an organized accident. hee. School is a lot different. In good ol' ACS, we all had concrete rules and obeyed them without second thought, right? Here, that's virtually non-existant. We don't have a guidance counselor! and we don't have assemblies. And the school is not tight knit. We aren't family-like at ALL. It's a little sad. I miss ACSs' dynamic! :( But, enough brooding. As a country, i prefer Hong Kong. As a home, i prefer Jordan. I MISSS MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS IN JORDAN! ROCK ON, DUDES!

My New School
So, y'all have heard me ramblin on and on about how crappy moving is, how moving schools is soooo hard, etc.
I was right.
On my first day i was about 10 minutes late to class. There are 7 floors and i was panting soo hard by the time i reached geography. ( we have geography and history! how weird is that?!?) They all STARED at me. I slid down the little passage thingy between the desks. A chinese girl waved at me, (thank god) and i asked her if i could sit next to her. She said Yes! (she had to anyway..) Everyone turned and stared some more. I should've said "take a picture, it'll last longer" but Hey, i was new! No bad impressions, remember?? Some girls turned around and asked if i was new. DUH. retards.JK, they were nice. Geography was a testing period so i just read on my kindle. Every few seconds i would look up and some boy or girl would be staring at me. After Geography, Math. I heard a lot about their horrible math teacher. she was SCARY. Ah! I spent the whole class sweating my face off. I miss Ms. Rihani! :( Next up, break. I tagged along with a nice girl i met in math class. She was nice and funny and loves swimming too! HOORAY! She bought me a cookie. woo! Then we had history... that was pretty fun, but for some reason its the same teacher but in a different classroom. ( the teachers never change but the classrooms do every day.) The teacher is not as nice as Mrs. Person or as cool in class! English was... interesting. Not funny like in Ms. Ismails class. The teacher is nice, but not as nice as Ms. Ismail! He was suprised to see a new kid. (what is up with this school and its hatred for notices?!?) Then the big cheese: Latin. I know, Latin? but i think its cool to be talking and be like,"i took latin when i was a kid" and the person would be all " whaaa!!?" and id be "mhhhmmm!!" See!?? Cool! BUT the teacher was out sick. Youre probably thinking we got a sub. Naw. We had "PERMENANCE" which is just sitting in a class until the bell rings. Boring. But we miss class! woo!
LOOOOVE,
MIRA!

Ugh
I am so sick of this.
I hate this.
So much.
I miss my old life. I knew EXACTLY what was going to happen everyday. I mightve complained a bit (ok, A LOT) about it being boring, but now i take it all back. Too late. Fate does something to you EVERYTIME youre happy. Call it fate, call it something else. But i was SOLID. wake up (duh) brush, eat, leave. Have fun, not have fun. Hang. Feel left out. Feel awkward. Smile a lot. Be sarcastic. Feel loved. Go home knowing what was going to happen the NEXT day. Now? Now, i dont know. I might walk to school and home with a guy from reception next semester. I might make friends. I might feel left out. Feel stared at. (especially guys who look like theyve never seen a girl before..) introduce myself FIVE times a day. Get lost. (probably) make friends some more. And what sickens me more is that im moving AGAIN. ( pretty sure) in a couple years.
CRUD.
